Birds of Maine

Maine is home to many varieties of birds, to the delight of birders everywhere! Our thriving natural environments and the diversity thereof make Maine an incredibly hospitable state to our fine feathered friends. Access to rich pine forests, rocky coasts, sprawling meadows, large lakes and mountainous regions mean plenty of habitats for birds, even of the most particular of species! With this site, I hope to highlight just a few of my favorite species, and give you just a little more appreciation for some of our native bird buds.

The navigation at the top of the page will take you to my birds page, with a list of the few aforementioned birds. Below is a link to the Maine Audubon Society who do phenomenal work maintaining and conserving these habitats, making sure they're preserved for future generations of birds and humans!
